Alvernia Studios, Poland’s first full scale film production facility, looks amazing, not to mention their website which is very cool as well. Check it out here and have a quick look at the picture of their main soring stage here. I defy you not to be amazed. Right up my street.

Restrike Engineer teaching at Futureworks

Hi all
For the last few months I’ve been lecturing on audio engineering at Futureworks Media School in Manchester, working with new students at the start of their 2 year course. Just now we’re looking at compression, particularly parallel compression, and I happened across these nifty little vids (by Mike Caffrey at Monster Island Studios) that do a great job of explaining it. Check them out.

MTR90 Auto locator up and running

finally got some spare time to hook the auto locator up to the tape machine. No more craning over the desk to see the tape counter…. Now I just need to figure out how it works.
